Rose Tree Day School respects the inherent worth and dignity of each child, understanding that acceptance and awareness of others provides a foundation for children’s growth and consideration for the rights of others. RTDS recognizes that each child contributes to the learning of others, and that children process knowledge by using their whole selves to gather information. The program’s policies and children’s curriculum reflect the cultural experiences and values of each child, provide opportunities for exchanges of warmth and concern among individuals, development of creative talents, and learning through diverse experiences.
RTDS curriculum aligns with, teaches, and reinforces the principles of Unitarian Universalism. RTDS is committed to providing opportunities for children with special needs in the area, inter-generational interaction and affordable, high quality pre¬school and kindergarten programs.
